Predictably Prosaic Topic!

Hey Everybody! I decided it was time for me to start a topic. :) Comment and tell us your favorite Christmas traditions/memories/whatevers! :D I know this is quite cliche, but I can't help it! I feel like I'm my dad running the Life Group! Okay, now go on around the circle and tell us! It must run in the family . . . if I get a guest book of my own, get worried guys. ;)

My favorite Christmas memory is of me when I was five years old. We were actually staying in Boise that year for Christmas, and I think mom was taking pictures. I can look in my baby book and see pictures of me sitting on our old couch next to Hans, our Dachshund, who had gotten a big rubber pacifier squeeky toy for Christmas. I got a pink bathrobe with a white rabbit face on the front, and my hair was about shoulder length and really light light brown. Hans tore that pacifier up in about a day, but lol, it was still fun. :)

Bonnie if you get a guest book I will take out my knife and shred it. Then I'll take out my lighter and burn it.

Dan, you are a scary sort of dude. I feel safer now that you don't live in my neighborhood. ;)

Hmm . . . I think my favorite Christmas tradition is probably stockings. :) There's usually a bunch of useless little things in there, but they're so great! Unwrapping all those tiny presents . . . I'm actually kind of worried about how exciting opening my packages will be this year. My job involves opening a lot of packaged books coming and going from SPU. I may just go into robotic-automatic mode and very efficiently unpackage all the presents before Christmas day! ;)

Hahahahaha.... Bonnie- I was tempted to get a guestbook for the dinner!!! But thank goodness for restraint!!

Hmmm... favorite memory? Well, one of my favorites was caroling with Annie and Cherize... and attempting to find Misty's house but going to the wrong one and caroling for some stranger's kids instead of Misty. Thankfully, we finally found her house and caroled... and then were WARM inside of her house. Even with the weird octaves (thanks to my viola) and the continuous laughing (sometimes during caroling) and being lost, I had a wonderful time.

Apparently this is the deserted paradise......heh, so it's left all to me! :D Another of my favorite Christmas memories.....let's see...was probably last year, when we pretty much played Settlers of Catan during every spare moment. Actually, that's not true. We played Settlers very little.....and Cities and Knights almost every spare moment!!!!! :D

We dont really have any Christmas traditions, but that does not mean that there are not fun momories. One year Ben was upset that he did not get everything that he wanted so he threw a fit and locked himself into his room. We were going to see a movie and if we didnt leave we would be late so my dad broke the door. Thankfully this year we have not had such problems.

My Christmas would be so boring if not for blogs!!! (No one comment on that!) Actually, my mom should be getting home soon... thankfully. =) This Christmas Eve was pretty memorable... I had to work, and since, for most of the day, no customers came by, the day went reallllllly slow... and to top it off, I was severely hit on by someone waaaaaay older than me. So, not exactly my best Christmas, but DEFINITELY one I won't be able to forget.

Wow dependant on blogs to get you through the Christmas time. Hahahahahaha. ;)

However, it would help if people would actually post something /cough...Andy, Bonnie; excuse me.

I know! Oh well, those two probably have lives outside of msn/aim. I, on the other hand, am entirely dependent on the computer for social interaction. Especially since Kim works evenings, I work afternoons, and Cherize works mornings. I will be home tonight, though, so maybe I'll swing by for a nice big ice cream cone.....;)

I know exactly what you mean. There is not anyone to talk to during break! Thank goodness for vacations and conferences. Have a good new year. I will be back on the 1st.

Exactly. I called Kim on Christmas Day, and that was nice.....and then I went out with her and Cherize for a "late night drive" (which requires music on in the car, long and personal talks, and hot drinks (ok, so they CAN be cold, as Cherize's was, but....)). Otherwise, life lately has been fairly slow. I haven't really talked or chatted with ANYONE much...well, except KC, but I think he was just killing time. I may even resort to becoming a phone talker for lack of social interaction ;). But then, I really only know Kim's number, and she works most nights, so heh, probably not...(*shrug*) :)

Oh sure. So NOW it snows....All I can say is, you're too late, snow! You have missed Christmas! You are late! Hey someone in Yakima.....we should make a snowman. I know they always get beheaded, but....we should. And take a picture by it. And maybe even try to make it look like someone we know :D

I made my first snowman today!!! With Laura, Diane and Cherize... although it turned out to be a drunken snowman named Henry... if you really want the background story check out my blog. (And, for the record, I believe the snowman's name was Cherize's idea... it beat "the snowman that is better than the one those kids built over there... ok, so it's not")

Yes, yes it was. But didn't you enjoy it though?

I should be getting ready for work soon, but I am procrastinating...

Annie, give me a good movie quote. Or anyone, for that matter. But since Keith has officially given up the rights to his blog and Laura no longer comments, I address Annie.

Oh forget it. I was going to erase this comment cause I mis-commented. Thanks to the similarity of blogs, I somehow mistook it for Keith's and thus commented so. But since I can't figure out how to get rid of comments, I will leave it alone. And will leave this message.
