Dead Blogger Day
(Megatokyo reference)
Anyway . . . I want to know the worst and best foods of all time according to each person who comments on this blog. :) Each person is allowed more than one entry for each category. For example, I think some of the best foods of all time are: chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, chicken parmigiana, several fruits and veggies, and rotelli. I also believe some of the worst foods are peas, pepperoni, root beer, and sour candy.
What do you think? (Reading Rainbow sound effect)

Well quite obviously, onions should just be burned. Not cooked, incinerated. But enough flaming.
Basically any kind of Italian food with red sauce is a definite good dish in my book. Pineapple pizza is wonderfully delicious, as is the fruit itself. Steak and potatoes are great, as are Danburgers. For those of you who don't know what they are, they're just hamburgers that my dad make.
Yucky food, yucky food....hmmmONIONS, most seafood/fish, green peppers (when not mixed in a sauce...same for onions, but they have to be in powder form or something where I won't get that little 'crunch' sound). I'm sure there's more, but I've a story to tell about onions. (Yes, the longest comment ever)
On the way up to and back from Pullman, there was a 100-foot stretch of discarded onions on the side of the road. WHY?! I don't understand at all. But the smell was terrible!! Fortunately, despite Margaret's best efforts, I held my breath on the way back and didn't have to suffer through it again. ^_^
Hahahahaha! Sounds like a truck kinda leaked. :) I prefer Italian food with white sauces as opposed to red, although those are good too.
Good foods: I'll agree with the italian foods part. Other good stuff includes my mom's sweet and sour pork (the stuff they make at restaurants doesn't compare....ever), apple pizza (another mom specialty), homemade bread, and Ricearoni. Yum. :) Oh, and tapioca pudding. Bad foods are, of course, many veggies (I'm afraid I'm more of a meat eater, sadly) including the ever disgusting beets, asparagus, cauliflower, as well as things like pepperoni, cranberry juice (yes, I realize this is a drink, but I'm sticking it in here anyway), mangos, and sushi (sorry Margaret....I TRIED to make myself like it, but I couldn't).
I like spagetti, pizza, and ham best. Italian is awesome too!
I HATE tomatoes! Hands down! I've tried them more than once. They are still gross! Anyways, I'm not a big fish fan. Smoked salmon's okay. . .sometimes. . .as is tunafish.
You don't like mangos?!? They're so cool! I love the way the red side tastes different than the green side because of the build-up of citric acid from exposure to the sun! Isn't it awesome when food becomes scientific? :D And I don't think I've actually ever eaten beets, although I'm fairly certain they would be on my "not-liked" list, and asparagus is quite the tasty vegetable. And tapioca . . . I'm not getting within twenty feet of that lumpy stuff . . . perhaps I would like it better homemade? :)
Good food...hamburgers, tacos fajitas, enchiladas, cabobs. bbq pineapple, terriaki chicken, onions cooked or raw, ham, cheese, blizards (or any ice cream with chocolate/pb/caramel), peperoni pizza, bagels, shrimp (I think that about covers it). Bad food...tomatoes, fruit with fur, brussel sprouts...I am not that picky.
I forgot to add Chinese. The fake in Safeway and the real from authentic chinese resterants. (As authentic as you can get in Yakima anyway.)
No one has mentioned Mexican food yet! Arrrriba!! I like basically any spicy food... ok, if it's food, I pretty much like it.
There are only a few notable exceptions which are: chocolate milk, chicken pot pie, any coleslaw-ish salad that has apples in it, all seafood except fish, and mushrooms. Oh, and swiss cheese.
My favorite food of all-time has to be Olive Garden's chicken scampi. It's pasta in a white sauce with grilled chicken, red, green and yellow peppers, and two kinds of onions. It is absolutely delicious, and anyone who disagrees is an infidel ;)
I have never been to Olive Garden.
Infidel!
;)
Yet another reason for you to get a job, Sally. My office is treating us to Olive garden today. Only they're getting it to go, so we can eat it at the office. That's still pretty good, though. I think they serve tomato soup ;)
Oooooo tomato soup. I had it for lunch today. Mmmmmmmm.
Wait a minute... You hate tomatoes but you like tomato soup?
Freakin' flamers.
Thanks Daniel. I like you too.
I also like ketchup. The taste is different. Tomatoes=gross. Ketchup&tomato soup&spagetti sause=yummy. You don't have to understand it, it just is. End of story.
I didn't always like tomatoes either, but I like them now, Sallster! So there's still hope for you! And thank you Steve for keeping tabs on the comments. ;)
I used to like pickles but I don't now. And tomatoes are good! Mmmmmmm.....tomatoes......yummmmy :D:D:D
Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!
