My guitar needs a name...

Ok, so I am trying to think up a name for my guitar but I am coming up with nothing. The only requirements are that it has to be Russian and preferably a guy's name. (The names Dimitri and Vladmir are already taken as they belong to my keyboard and viola). Merci!

Adrian? Alexei? Fedora? (*Annie scrolls down again down the list of Russian names on a random site*) FEOFILAKT? Sergei? Yakim?

My vote is for Yakim, simply because it's so close to being Yakima ;) Maybe you should branch off to include other nationalities......I think some of the German names can sound just as odd/interesting. This coming from someone that has a fairly uninteresting name that is used by Germans and pretty much everyone else in the entire world....

I think Dusty's a good name. Or maybe Billy Bob Joe. Or how 'bout Dusty Billy Bob Joe? Hehhehheh.

But sewiously, I like Dimitri.(He was the guy from the disney movie Anastasia.)

I know!!! I LOVE Dimitri too (and possibly because of the movie Anastasia... ; ) but...... my viola is already Dimitri.. and I don't think I could have two instruments named Dimitri, that would be confusing). I am torn between Yakim and Boris and some of the others... and is Rickenbacker even a name???

well i do belive that "Rickenbacker" was only meant to be a funny....and i agree that Boris may be the way to go , but what about "sasha" tis kind of .....what's the word, .... it's "attractive" ;)

Actually, Rickenbacker is the name of a German guitar manufacturer. Yes, I know, I gave a German name when you clearly asked for a Russian one. :P

I think since you already have two boy names, you should have a girl name like Sasha.

Sally, Sasha IS a guy's name in Russian. That's why in dubio listed it in with a bunch of other guy's names.

Not Sasha... I know someone with that name- who is a guy. It would be odd.

No, Kim! Remember, Boris is the name of the loser guy in PD series. You don't want your guitar to remind you of that, now do you??! ;)

You named your keyboard Vladmir! That's my sax's name...

What about Igor? Give me a day or two and I can come up with a bunch more Russian names- but I'll have to look at the LHJF program, since we had the Igor Butman Sextet and the other Russians in for the festival.
