Title Vote!
People definitely need to continue posting on the last topic (I think it's a great one! Good goin' Steve! :D) But I think we need to take a survery of the members of this comment blog. For those of you who haven't noticed, there has been a grammar war going on between Moog and Steve over the title of the blog, which I originally changed. ;) It started out innocuosly enough as "The Commenter's Paradise" but as a joke, I changed it to "Teh." Seemed to fit the mood of the blog better. ;) Now, Margaret is arguing for it to be changed back to the proper word "The" for the sake of the English language. Steve, who has apparently grown to like the original change, is opposed to this idea.
Thus, the blog title has been switching back and forth over the last few days and I think it's time to settle this once and for all! Which title does everyone prefer, "Teh Commenter's Paradise" or "The Commenter's Paradise." I personally am fairly ambiguous. :) I am partial to randomly changing the blog without notice, so you'll all have to decide without me. So vote with your comments, people! "Teh" or "The!" :)

First comment goes to me, therefore I win. THE THE THE THE THE THE THE!!
To let you people know right now, Margaret and Bonnie are on at the same time, as am I. However, Margaret cannot win this because there wasn't a level playing field to begin with. Exhibit A: GodsGirlBonnie (7:19:35 PM): www.commentcentral.blogspot.com Go visit it. :-D
As you can see, Bonnie told me at 7:19, one minute after Margaret posted her comment.
Unfair, so Margaret, you don't win by default.
Anyway, please vote for 'teh'.
I just want to point out that moog's comment was at 7:16 and you wrote 7:19....andyways havent we ever heard of compromise! Who needs the/teh at the beginning! Commenter's Paradise sounds nice! ;)
Alright, peoples. I'm going to start the mudslinging by pointing out that Steve can't do math. Do you really want to vote for his choice? ;)
duly noted.
Heh. Seeing as he's encouraging people to vote for a technically incorrect spelling, I'm not sure that a wrong math calculation actually hurts his case all that much, Moog. ;)
Wow. My person is being attacked now.
It certainly doesn't help it that much. What's his slogan, "A vote for Teh is a vote for chaos?" :P
Wow. I had no idea the campaigning would be so aggressive! And these two effectively can't vote not only because they're the candidates, but because their votes will cancel each other out! ;)
I'm bad at math, too. Shouldn't I vote for someone's choice that's most like how I am? At least apparently in math, if he really is all that bad. But then, Margaret has been my friend for a very long time, and quite the great person to help me refine my large gigantic raw practical joke ideas. Hmmmmm......
I'll decide later.
Oh please, Annie. Who's the person going to DigiPen and who's the person who rejoices that she never has to take another math class in her life? I'd say on the whole I'm far worse at math.
Heh, you'd make a very good politician, Margaret.
Also, Bonnie, I thought I originally changed it to 'teh', as well as addint the thing about scoober up at the top as a joke.......But then, I have a rather selective memory, so who knows? And by the way, Sally and I have a few surprises thought up for you guys. Well, we'll have them if we actually get our act together and I remember to bring the equipment/supplies to school sometime. Heh, none can escape the contagiousness of Anna and Salad's laughter!
Sorry Beav, I'm gonna have to go with Moog on this one. My vote goes to The.
The score is now 2-1 in favor of The.
Well Annie, allow me to counter the point my opponent made by saying, how can she say that I'm bad at math when she has no records of my grades and that she's in no position to compare herself to me when we haven't even had a math-off of sorts?
Dan....I'm disappointed.
A math-off? It's not necessary, though. Steve made it through high-school calculus, while I only got as far as pre-calc. Settled, once and for all. :P
Agreed.
Stumbled upon your blog. Interesting! Thanks!
Umm...I am not sure if math can settle an argument in the english department. The is traditional and spelled correctly. Teh is original, outside of the box, and somewhat intreging (and spelled wrong). Avoiding argument and hurt feelings: priceless.
I've got thicker skin than that, Emily. I'm willing to bet Margaret does to.
So I wouldn't worry about hurt feelings and such. :)
Heh. Maybe you did post that Annie . . . I know you did the Scoober part. Oh well. Hmm . . .
I am not woried about hurt feelings, but I am the type who likes to keep the peace (its the swiss in me comming out).
Yeah, I know what you mean. My friend once told me that I was a "regular Benvolio", the character in Romeo and Juliet who tries to keep the peace between Romeo and Tybalt.
Also, this is a really nifty layout they have now for comments.
Me too. For people who's short term memory doesnt work it is really nice to be able to look back.
Okay . . . so there's one vote so far. Great . . . I don't think this fight will end until Steve and Moog tire of it. ;)
how does the vote currently stand?
I'm down by one. But not everyone has voted yet ;)
It's 2-1 in favor of 'the.'
Dude! I told you that that looks stupid! No compromise for you!
I don't think it looks stupid. And for those of you who don't know what Margaret and I are squabbling about, I changed the title of this site to "The/Teh Paradise-Turned Battleground" well, the "The/Teh" part, anyway.
If you like that, then we can compromise there, or at least I'm willing to. Obviously teh Moog isn't. ;)
Still with Moog on this one Beav. No compromise.
You've already cast your vote anyway, Dan.
yes, Dan has already cast his vote. He's the only one who has, though... Come on, people! Do your civic duty and vote! {cough, for me, cough} ;)
Ummm..... not counting the fact that Steve is cool enough to speak French (I don't suppose you do, Moog?)... I liked "teh" in the first place... although the whole math bit almost made you lose my vote.

Ok then, the score is 2-2. Bonnie's a declared netural, Emily hasn't voted, and neither has Annie.
And I think I should mention this before you get any ideas, Margaret: the definition of "regular" readers of this blog are those who have commented at least 5 times total prior to this comment here.
How did I comment twice? Drat my computer!
Well...after thinking about it...I think I am going to have to got with "teh" because it is original (like me). Not that I dont think my afore mention of compromise was not a good idea.
3-2 in favor of "teh"
2 people left to vote.
Annie has requested that I set a deadline of some kind for the voting, so here it is: Friday the 18th at midnight. Please vote before then, Bonnie and Annie, as I'm going to be home at that time :\
So......what if our friend Misty wants to vote? Is she allowed?
Has she commented previously? If she hasn't, according to Steve's rule she can't. I don't know her, so I don't really think she's qualified to vote anyway :\
It was 5 comments, Misty, and they had to be previous to this post. Sorry, no vote for you.
Yep, sorry Misty. Anyway Annie, you still need to vote.
And that deadline works for me, Margaret.
So do the both of you have closing arguments or something? Or have those already been made?
Hey Steve am I one of the two? If not, I'm insulted!
I vote for Margaret because the 'teh' is your thing for your blog so a shared one should just be 'the'.
So now it's three-three, I believe. Ha!
...
No insult implied, Sally.
Dang, Sally! You make me the tie breaker! I hear Bonnie plans on staying neutral. Perhaps that's what I'll do, too.....but that's not my vote, I'm just thinking aloud. I will vote by Friday, fear not. But remind me on Thursday.......
I will do as Anna commands. (I stole that from you Margarete.)
Steve- That's what they all say!
I didn't mean to leave you out Sally, seriously....
Alright! Way to go Sally! I didn't know you followed The Commenter's Paradise, where have you been recently?
It went for such a long time without being updated that I just stopped looking at it on a regular basis.
But it was up and running before you joined the blogging community, so I have commented on it before.
Where've I been? In the same town that I've lived in for all of my 19 years and some odd months. Sad.
yes indeed
Ha! Margaret! You're hilarious! I can almost feel the vote fishing in that last comment! ;)
Welcome back, Sally :) Now if only you'd start coming to 701 again too....... ;)
Hey now! I have valid excuses for missing 701 and you know it! So there! (I feel really first gradish when I say that, but hey, that was a fun year.)
You still have yet to vote, Annie. Time is running out.
Heh, he's right, chicababe. You asked for a 1-day warning, here it is!
whoops... I didn't realize that was going to post anonymously. As if you didn't know who it was, though ;)
And my vote goes to......
............
...........
...........
...
Steve. Simply because I had to choose one of the candidates. Margaret, I nearly voted for you.....I had the vote typed out.....but I couldn't stand it.....I liked the peace of a tie. So Steve, I vote for you....... long live 'Teh'! Margaret, I will always value the/teh importance you put on correctness. :)
Some of you may already be asking yourselves what Annie is referring to when she says "I love a tie" with a vote that sets Steve ahead by one. But now, wonder no more. I am coming out of neutrality to vote for . . . Margaret! A blow is struck for the English language! What are you talking about? Of course we didn't plan this!!! >_>
(*shifty eyes*)
.............
Well that doesn't solve anything....
Oh well.
A tie is always broken with the first vote cast. Hence The wins.
Dan, I'd like to know what your source is on that.
Even so, we never did establish any tie-breaking rules; we certainly can't do a re-vote.
I have an idea! How 'bout we just take out the and teh? We could substitute A, but that would most likely be fought over too, so. . .
I believe that I too suggested that at the very begining
Heh. I have now completely voided the reasons for which I started this blog thread in the first place . . . "Isn't that gweat?" :D
