New Post Topic Fun Time!!
I haven't checked this place in awhile (note the lack of comments). Anyhow, I think I have a topic that we can talk about.
Quelle classe est-ce que ta favorite cette semestre?
(What class is your favorite this semester?)
I'll comment after this so I don't chew up space here.
Beav ;)

This semester I definitely like CS105. Throughout the year, we'll be learning about circuits, electricity, and all of that fun stuff, but the good times begin toward the end of the year, when we start building our robotic cars.
I'm not overly sure about the group that I'm in, since I don't actually know them, but I've seen most of them around, and one of them is highly annoying. We'll see what turns out.
But that's not the best part about this class. The instructor, Duba, is the freaking man. The first day of class he was telling us his credentials, and then he said something along the lines of, "yeah, I work about 2km beneath the surface of the earth trying to catch a particle smaller than a neutron shot out by the sun in a pool of water."
When he said that, I just about blew up, since I knew exactly what he was talking about. It pays to watch the Discovery Channel, TLC, and PBS.
I'd say it was a toss up. I really enjoy bio/geo because Anna is in those two classes. But in my American Pop Culture class there's a really cute boy who also happens to be really nice.
AMERICAN POP CULTURE?! What the crap? What kind of a class is that?
Heh, a get-my-humanities-credits-out-of-the-way class, I believe ;). It is humanities, isn't it Sally? And yeah, I don't know that I have a favorite class, though I do enjoy going to biology/geography with Sally. However, put together, those classes are soooooo long........especially when you factor in Mr. Walkers jokes like 'How do you make Antifreeze?'. Koh........It was just so lame that even I didn't crack a smile, and I even like Mr. Walker for the most part.
I would say that my classes are all about the same as far as a favorite topic mater, but Kai, the guy that teaches my anatomy class, is freaking hilarious. He is a klutz and makes fun of himself. We also get extra credit points if he trips and falls, but we cant trip him. He makes a class that could be very boring and makes it interesting. I also like my fitness class. Susan is a Ph.D., trains professional athletes, and shows us crazy yoga moves.
This semester is so much better than the last one was. No offense Bonnie, but I hate biology.
I'm going to post! Yay!
I don't really have a favorite chosen at the moment, I'm learning things in all my classes, but that doesn't necessarily make them fun. English 354 (History of the English Language) will probably turn out to be the best, and I'll be really happy if I come out of that class being able to do a convincing British accent. Knowing some insults in old English would be pretty cool too. I alreay know a couple ;)
Nutrition is such a boring class. It is a good thing I have friends in there to talk to.
I take offense Steve! American Pop Culture is a really easy humanities credit. We read a book and have tests on it. I'm taking it because I really like the teacher. He's taught 3 three out of four of my sisters and my dad. The first time I had him last quarter he took one look at my and asked if I was a Graham girl and if my dad was Ron. It's great! So there!
My favorite class is too obvious to post . . . thanks Steve. ;)
Well, I'm sorry Sally, it just blew my mind that it was an actual class.
And Bonnie...well I'm sorry to.
Anna I'm not really geting it out of the way per say, I just really enjoy the teacher. You should take something from him.
I agree about Mr. Walker but he's really funny! He says "That kind of thing like that." ALL the time! Like after every few sentences. Too bad he doesn't say, "Like crap through a goose." very often 'cause that's funnier.
You're sorry to what, Steve? Sorry to leave me out of the topic? Sorry to crush my sense of belonging to this group!?!?!?! Sorry to what?!?!!?!?!
;) :D
I used to like colloquium a lot more last quarter... but Dr. Rath is really, really smart and still kind of serious, so I feel foolish if I say anything that isn't intelligent or relevant to the topic.
I really like French 252... and it is helping me revive my dead French. I can actually somewhat make conversational French once again! Et ca me fait heureuse!! (And that makes me happy!!... only without the accent). Our prof speaks in French quite a bit, and now I can actually understand him from time to time. Plus the class is relatively easy... the homework (with the exception of the 250 word compositions) are very similar to the homework assignments we had in HS. And the prof even mentionned a 400 level class being offered next quarter where we will watch films like "Manon de Source", "Jean de Florette", "Amelie"... and something else that we watched in French, but I can't remember the name right now. I want to say "La Belle et la Bete", but I dont think that is right.
DHC lecture is pretty funny too. Dr. Stacy is soooo hilarious sometimes. And, I agree with Gabe, in that he reminds me of a cartoon character... just a bit. Has anyone ever seen the preview on the movie A Bug's Life? The one of the chess players? Gabe says he reminds her of that guy. Learning ancient Greek civilization and literature from him can be interesting.
I think I've seen "Manon de Source" before. If it's the same movie I'm thinking of, I've also seen the sequel/prequel. It was pretty good.
And Bonnie...if you just feel overall offended I'm sorry.
WHY AM I SO FREAKIN SORRY!? AUGH! CABILDOS!!!!!!!!!!
You lost the cabildos contest, remember? You're not allowed to use that definition of the word anymore ;)
Thanks for the invite, I tried to accept it but the computer I'm on (at the Architecture Library) won't let me. I think I've unofficially joined the madness anyway.
Sorry to burst your bubble, Margaret, but I posted that comment before you declared the winner of that contest. And it wouldn't matter, anyway, I came up with the word, even if it was by accident ;)
Actually Steve, I was just making fun of your grammar . . . O_o Silly. :)
And now I've added a picture to the blog. It's about time I abused my priviledges. ;)
A very good choice of picuture Bonnie. Way to go on abusing that power.
It scares me! I think I will have a nightmare tonight.
And now, Bonnie....you leave me no choice.
In AD 2101, War Was Beginning.
Captain: What happen?
Mechanic: Somebody set us up the bomb.
Operator: We get signal.
Captain: What!?
Operator: Main screen turn on.
Captain: It's you!!
CATS: How are you gentlemen?!
CATS: All your base are belong to us.
CATS: You are on the way to destruction.
Captain: What you say!!
CATS: You have no chance to survive make your time.
CATS: Ha ha ha ha...
Well Steve, I think I left you plenty of choice, but I don't care. :) But I think you should post a link to the original clip from the video game to educate these untutored masses as to the origin of that so duly quoted message.
www.planettribes.com/allyourbase
Go there, click "Video 1" on the left-hand side, and then click one of the links on the screen that opens up.
If you want information on the original game, talk to me, I'll link you to a place to get it.
Good job, good job. :)
^_^
Someone should post again, anytime a conversation winds back up at ALl Your Base it's time to move on
Steve, don't make me start quoting my psychology book...

Well then why don't you start one, Margaret?
Heh. Dont' blame Steve for starting the "All Your Base" direction of things. That was totally me with the picture. :) I'm such a geek's girlfriend . . . ;)
